I hold a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Florida State
University and a Masters in Education from Eastern New
Mexico University, where I was a teaching fellow. I am
licensed by the state to practice psychotherapy, and am
qualified to work with a wide range of emotional disorders. I
am credentialed by the International Association of Eating
Disorder Professionals as a Certified Eating Disorder
Specialist.
I have been in private practice in the same location in Cary
for over eight years. Prior to entering private practice, I held
positions as a psychotherapist at the Duke affiliated
Structure House Center in Durham, NC, at multiple
long-term care facilities around the Triangle area and at the
Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.
I have received advanced training with leaders in the field of
psychotherapy including Pia Mellody, Richard Schwartz and
Jean McLendon to name a few. I practice an integrative
treatment style using Psychodynamic, Family Systems and
Cognitive work grounded in a Depth Therapy perspective.
